Danilo’s Cares promotes the importance of proper oral hygiene among Honduran youth. In a nation where only 50% of the population has access to clean drinking water and even fewer have dental insurance, it is essential that Honduran children maintain a strict oral health regimen. Our team partnered with Central American Medical Outreach (CAMO) to create an oral hygiene project for the Honduran public school system.
With CAMO, we were able to create a mobile dental team. Doctors provided dental care such as, extractions, fillings, fluoride treatments, and teeth cleanings free-of-charge to students at Raissa Vanessa Castro School located in San Pedro Sula. The project provided these procedures to over 100 students. We will continue to partner with CAMO and reach more children throughout Honduras every year.
